A blog dedicated to sharing our personal experience with Clubfoot correction. Quick View of Progress. Our Tips and Advice. Almost done with 23-hour brace wear. Today is January 19. Cason has been in his brace for just over two months. His last check-in with his doctor was a month ago in December. The doctor said his feet were looking great and he had no concerns! Our next appointment is February 15 and then he can hopefully start wearing his bar only during naps and nighttime. Links to this post.

Its a great day in our household! Cason has been wearing his brace for 3 months/23-hours a day. We had a quick visit to the orthopedist this morning; he said his feet looked amazing and has no worries. Cason can now wear his set-up only during naps and nighttimes (with a 12 hour/day goal). Yay! I went to my OB/GYN's office for my routine 20-week anatomy ultrasound, along with my husband and my two oldest children. (We did not find out his/her gender, and refer to the baby as "Tiebreaker," since s/he has two brothers and two sisters eagerly awaiting his/her arrival.). We've successfully transitioned to only nighttime wear of the boots and bar as of March 12! Per the advice of Dr. Segal, we went straight to 12-hour nights, with 12 hours free during the day, and Peter has adjusted extremely well. He loves playing with his feet and it's so fun to watch him! Saturday, June 15, 2013. Ben is THREE and Cason is Nine Months! Last month, we headed to Myrtle Beach for a short little vacation. It happened to be Bike Week but we survived! Ben loved it of course, and Jed and I didn't seem to mind it as much as we thought we would. Ben had a blast collecting rocks - and a shell or two - on the beach. He loved the idea of staying at a condo and loved his ocean-front balcony view. He was over the moon the entire trip. Hanging out on the beach. Ben at his birthday party.

Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Ben's cousin Kye started going to preschool at Highland Baptist Church's Child Enrichment Center. We found out that the 2-year old class had an extra opening and discussed whether or not it would be a good idea to enroll him. We decided it would be good for him so he started today! Here you can see how his left foot sits at the correct angle. Cason received his fourth set of casts last week. His left foot is pretty much in it's corrected position-Yay! Thursday, October 4, 2012.
