Im going on week two in Peru and am having the time of my life! Unfortunately for my muscles, this has meant ungodly amounts of pain. Sand boarding, hiking through canyons, and white water rafting have turned me into an adrenaline junkie! First stop after relacing Lima was Pisco, where we visited the poor mans Galapagos, Islas Ballestas. There we saw our third type of penguins along with sealions, dolphins, and nearly every species of bird! The view was incredible and the rafting guides were gorgeous too!

Soy yo. la gringa loca. It is day two of my trip and Lima has already captured my heart. The sights, surf, and laid-back attitude almost have me regretting my decision to study in Argentina instead of here (don t worry BA, te amo). Thanks to a new amiga, Mariana, I ve been able to see the local side of the city. My vacations actually began with school! I went with Mariana to her sociology class at the beautiful PUCP campus, followed by the MiraBus city tour. This is a generous example of the buses here.
