Monday, July 10, 2006. Bread is one of my favorite things in the world. The taller on Thursday and Friday was a much needed and very timely break. I'm glad we're having two of them. Friday, June 30, 2006. There has been a huge celebration in our town this week. The other night there was a large firework show and while it was really cool to watch. it was probably one of the most dangerous things I ve ever seen! There were kids running around with paper maché bulls, women/angels, and turkeys with fireworks attached to them. The craziest part was that they were running directly AT the crowd of people watching! One of them exploaded straight at us from ten feet away! Lots of love,.

Friday, June 30, 2006. Our classes have been going well. Today we worked on digital photography with the kids today and they were great! Hiram took this picture at the Municipio this morning. A candid picture of our class. It is so funny to see them in the streets outside of class and have them call out, "hola maestra! One of the kids actually brought us apples this morning! The teachers have gone back to the classrooms for two weeks to finish the school year (although they will be returning to protest immediately after the 21st and plan to continue until well into the next school year)! This means that we have to have technology classes in the afternoons and feel generally useless during the day.
