Monday, March 29, 2010. Democracy is No More. I have tried so desperately to stay out of what is currenlty happening in our country. I feel so helpless thinking about politician's who disregard the will of the people and make decisions for us. But I don't know that I can do this much longer. Sunday, July 10, 2011. We had our first official family reunion with my family over the 4th of July weekend. What a great time we had together! They gave us their Master Bedroom, toothbrushes, lotion, a bag for our dirty clothes, unlimited amounts of cereal, fresh baked cookies when we first walked in from our long drive, bought all the meet for our BBQ on the 4th, made fantastic chicken salad sandwiches for the lake. And also gave me a bottle of Bath and Body lotion to take home, which I absolutely love!

Sunday, June 27, 2010. Hiking the Manitou Incline. We made a spur-or-the-moment decision late yesterday to hike the Manitou Incline with our friends the Hansens. This is a straight shot that goes up over 2000 ft in about a mile distance. Up a bunch of railroad ties. It's about an average 40% grade. And a little over an hour later. here we are at the TOP! Here's a little video I took. But it's kinda hard to capture the steepness with pics or video. My butt and thighs hurt just from looking at this post.

Monday, September 7, 2009. What a great day celebrating labor. We learned a lesson from the last 3 day weekend and decided not to even attempt to drive with 90% of other Coloradans to the mountains. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. June in a Nutshell. June has been filled with so much already. I can't believe it's over and we are headed straight into July! Jamie and I had a lunch date with Isabella recently, luckily there was a flower to keep her entertained while we waited for our Chicago style pizza. I love Izzy's blue outfit.
