Symbiotic Life: Because It's Important
http://rachelssymbioticlife.blogspot.com/2013/11/because-its-important.html
Wednesday, November 13, 2013. This is a post with a serious subject. I won't judge anyone for bailing on this post if you don't follow me for serious subject matter. Fair enough and all that. Ready for the heavy stuff? Then let's take the jump together. Once upon a time, I wrote an article about abuse. Sexual abuse and rape are two pieces of the abuse puzzle I'm touching on today. Studies. Have been done showing a correlation of resistance reducing the probability of sexual contact or rape. Resistanc...

Lycanthropica - Creations and Dementations. The Design, Craft Warhammer and Make up adventures of a self confessed werewolf addict. Thursday, October 20, 2011. Circle Lens Review - WM-209 Max Neon Blue. So I got a bunch of lenses from Kiwiberry1 Collection. They had a buy 5 get 6th pair free so how could I resist! The first pair I have tried so far are WM-209 Max Neon Blue. The colour looks very different to the website but they say that can happen, I actually like the real life colour more so YAY. It's ...

Chalkdust and Boots: How I wore it: the doldrums
http://chalkdustandboots.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-i-wore-it-doldrums.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. How I wore it: the doldrums. That I'm getting just impatient with my normal fare. So with that impatience in mind, this is how I dressed myself today: as basically as possible:. So, friends, what do you advise? How do I get out of my rut? Well, the last one is actually going to happen, but a lot of what I'm hoping for depends on what my stylist says - I may just end up getting a trim. If so.what then? Any suggestions most appreciated. Black sweater: Saks Fifth Avenue, remixed.

Chalkdust and Boots: How I wore it: second day at school
http://chalkdustandboots.blogspot.com/2015/01/how-i-wore-it-second-day-at-school.html
Friday, January 23, 2015. How I wore it: second day at school. Today promised to be the last nice-ish day before it gets snowy and deadly cold again. So I decided that I'd wear my new Fluevogs again, but this time with a more unusual pant silhouette:. How good is Baby Boots' mustard sweater? Despite my having turned on every light in the house, you still can't tell that I'm actually wearing. The striped top with the charcoal cardigan was just a bit of fun and nonsense. Charcoal sweater: Gap, remixed.

Chalkdust and Boots: August 2014
http://chalkdustandboots.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 30, 2014. How I wore it: quick errands. It's a beautiful day today, but - alas - yesterday Baby Boots woke up with a summer cold, so we want to take it easy this last weekend before the big grind starts again. Baby Boots (and my husband) still haven't woken up from their afternoon naps, so who knows - maybe we'll do something fun in a bit, but this morning we dedicated to a sorely-needed grocery run. This is a typical summer outfit for me, recently:. This sweatshirt has already become a ...

Chalkdust and Boots: May 2015
http://chalkdustandboots.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 5, 2015. How I wore it: meh. I really liked my outfit today and it got its usual seal of approval from my fashionista advisee (the pants, which you will see below, I've worn three times in not-very-different iterations), but the photographic version is sadly limited. I love these pants, which I ordered from the Gap: they are a nice, thick fabric with a big, pleated waist and cropped at the hem. I love them on and I loved them in the picture online: they remind me of Bianca's. 80 degrees and ...

Chalkdust and Boots: April 2015
http://chalkdustandboots.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 23, 2015. This decision is important. Last month, my husband and I went to our usual optometrist for our yearly eye appointment. My prescription has changed a tad, but I don't have insurance for new frames. I was looking at some frames ( Prada. One of which was my husband's favorite (the Pradas), and one that I liked, although so similar to my current green Ray-Bans. Since I was eaten up by indecision AND I didn't have insurance for new frames, I let it go. So before we start, here's the ...

Chalkdust and Boots: How I wore it: she comes in colors
http://chalkdustandboots.blogspot.com/2015/04/how-i-wore-it-she-comes-in-colors.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2015. How I wore it: she comes in colors. While enthusiasm is again high, let's see what I can do here. I stayed home from work yesterday to take care of a minorly ill Baby Boots. Today we had a baby-sitter, but I had to rush home from work in a cab (no biking, and it was perfect weather, too! To make sure the baby-sitter could get to her rehearsal on time. Those were not the pajamas Baby Boots was wearing when I left the house this morning. Will make me feel better about everything&...
