CAST members cut through thick Red River ice. Insert: A sample of Red River ice! CAST was invited to return to the search for Nathaniel Thorassie In January 2011. The team was able to run diving operations for three consecutive days. During that time the team searched approximately 150m / 500 feet along the river bank from the East side of the Disraeli Freeway Bridge to the Northwest and covered approximately 23,225m. 40,000 square feet of river bed. Our only regret was that our efforts were unsuccessful.
