Drove up with some coffee around 715a. Waves were around 3-4 ft at The Rock, 6-8 ft at the Outer Wash, but they did not paddle way out there. Lots of blue in the sky. The forecast for the today and the next few are so divergent in Swell Size and Periodicity. How can that be? I very much like those offshore winds shown in the table below. Sunset last night was wonderful, Venus and Mars lighting up early before the darkness, and the regular "Pirate Happy Hour" crew were on-station at the bar with their BYOB supply. Terry hiked the mud stream jungle path with his 36 inch machete while Tim and I drove by 4WD to the ol' hotel. Surf was running a wild and crazy 4 to 7 ft. DP Report: My personal best all-around surf day thus far. thanks to the overall swell conditions: less WNW influence. Still some short period waves that would turn what would appear to a nice wall to bank off that would suddenly dump over. And another day of sunshine!
