For the Love of Chickens. Life on our farm in South Central Wisconsin. Caledonia Hills Farm LLC, Portage, WI. Saturday, January 31, 2009. Wednesday, January 21, 2009. All of the other hens were out frollicking, along with the #2 rooster, who was making so much noise, all right there for the #1 rooster to see. Well, we know grass fed poultry is yummy (and according to Jeff, cures what ails you). Finally we have a half a grass fed beef in our freezer, from our own fields :) We're very excited about this and have already done a taste test. It's fantastic! What a great treat that it's SO GOOD! The meat is pretty lean with very, very slight marbeling and FRESH!

For the Love of Chickens. Life on our farm in South Central Wisconsin. Caledonia Hills Farm LLC, Portage, WI. Wednesday, November 26, 2008. The hens are laying eggs like mad. Actually, the snow just covered up all of their outside nests so they are forced to comply with the rules and lay their eggs in the nest boxes that we collect from. Production magically increased by nearly 100% overnight! As always, Happy Eating! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Resources and Fun links. Industrial Food" - Harvey Ussery.
