Tips on getting the most out of Twitter chats. April 18, 2015. Jolanta aka Casual Traveler. Are you on Twitter. But not sure whom to follow, and how to get anyone to follow you back? One of the best ways to meet fellow travelers on Twitter are Twitter chats. I admit, I’m a social media junkie, and I love Twitter chats. If you take time to read the discussion during or after the chat, you’ll notice that some people post answer similar to what you said = they are probably a lot like you. Self-Guided tour o...

Visiting the Roman Sights in Merida, Spain | Casual Travelers
https://casualtravelers.wordpress.com/2015/04/04/visiting-the-roman-sights-in-merida-spain
Visiting the Roman Sights in Merida, Spain. April 4, 2015. Jolanta aka Casual Traveler. When we decided to do a road trip from Madrid, Spain to the coast of Portugal last year, we decided to find a city or a town to stay overnight on the way, rather than drive the 600 km (372 miles) or so in one day. The names of towns and cities along the three different routes that GoogleMaps suggested for us didn’t tell me much, so I turned to guidebooks of Spain from Lonely Planet. The Rocky Coast of Peniche, Portugal.

The musings of a man who needs a challenge in life. St Christopher’s at the Mosaic House, Prague – A Review. During my recent trip to Prague I stayed at the St. Christopher’s at the Mosaic House. How does it rate? As a hostel it was different to what I expected. It is a large building and it gives off a look of an expensive hotel. It is located near the centre of Prague. It is about fifteen minute walk towards Charles Bridge. Not the greatest photo. There is no kitchen area for you to cook in. The ho...

Thoughts about my travels - of all kinds. Thoughts about my travels - of all kinds. August 2 – Arrival in Sturgis! Posted on August 11, 2015. As I mentioned in my last post, I had a couple of places I thought might be interesting to visit while I made my way to Sturgis. Unfortunately, neither one panned out. The first place was the Dakotaland Museum in Huron, where I had spent the night. According to MapQuest mobile, it wasn’t too far from the motel with the huge pheasant, so off I went. At one point I w...
