So, I can't take credit for this cake because I'm doing a little apprenticing with a cute girl in our ward just learning all she knows about making cakes and then helping her with a couple of wedding cakes in August. This was our first practice-cake that we made for my parents 25th wedding anniversary! It was a white cake with a fresh strawberry and banana filling. Way yummy. A few scenes along the way - end of the trip! I just wanted to post a few of the fun sites I viewed on my nearly-month-long trip to Utah, Idaho, Washington and Oregon. Of course, I drove through Nevada, and could have stopped to get some desert photos, but I was more interested in getting to SLC that particular day. It's a long drive! That is the Draper Temple. In the foreground, you can see the Jordan River - look closely, as the color is green. Aren't barns supposed to be red? Will wonders never cease?

Brad, Kendall, Landon and Kailyn. Saturday, June 14, 2008. Yesterday Kailyn turned 1. I can't believe how fast she has grown. She's talking, walking, dancing, laughing, playing with Landon and sharing her opionion with her amazingly powerful vocal cords! Saturday, January 30, 2010. Just under three weeks and counting. This is Maclaine's dad writing. In less than three weeks Maclaine will be released from her mission. We are all in denial. Grateful denial, but denial nonetheless. It takes our breath away when we consider this most marvelous blessing to us, to her and especially to her beloved people of Puerto Rico. Gotta stop writing.
