In Protest for Refugee Week. 16th-22nd June 2014 marked Refugee Week, a UK wide celebration of the contribution of refugees, with the aim of promoting a better understanding of asylum seekers and why people seek sanctuary through a vast programme of cultural and educational events. As part of Refugee Week and our own Midsummer Poetry Festival, Bank Street Arts was lucky enough to host several poets whose poems feature in the collection In Protest: 150 poems for Human Rights.
