Heavier Things: July 2004
http://worldofjo.blogspot.com/2004_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 25, 2004. The test itself was fairly tricky. Took me 3 1/2 hours. I'm very glad I prepared well, because I knew how to take certain shortcuts and could recognize some of the trick questions. The verbal was really hard, half the words in the antonyms and analogies were completely new to me. HOORA Upon discovering this, a HUGE weight was lifted and I spent the next 20 minutes jumping up and down and squealing. heh. I've been ecstatic ever since. Now I can really. Listening to: Brown Eyed Girl.

Heavier Things: April 2004
http://worldofjo.blogspot.com/2004_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 27, 2004. I have my one and only final tomorrow. Stats. Funny how I could care less about it. meh. I currently have 12.96$ in the bank right now, and am not ashamed to admit it. I am broke. Thankfully I'm getting my income tax back soon, I'd be screwed without it. I'm therefore trying to figure out what to ask my parents for for my 21st birthday in June. The options are currently:. 1) One-week trip to Ireland to visit MC while she's working and living there this summer. 2) A big screen TV.

Heavier Things: February 2004
http://worldofjo.blogspot.com/2004_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2004. Today was such a beautiful day: sunny, clear blue skies, and warm without being too hot. The weather holds such sway in determining my mood. The winter grayness really depresses me, rainy summer days and nights make me lazy and content, and bright sunny spring days add that extra bounce to my step. I went to see Jane Urquhart. I'm off to have coffee/cake with some friends now before we head out to Retro Night at the Turret: 70s-80s-90s music, I'm excited. By Naomi Klein, and re...

Saturday, September 25, 2004. 2 weeks into classes and I'm already stressed out. Oddly enough, it's not even this. Year of courses that's stressing me out the most. I've got application on the BRAIN. Grad school is already killing me, and I haven't even applied yet. It's so damn stressful - I need a scholarship from NSERC. To get into the Masters/PhD program that I want at McGill. To grad school yet and they want me to know what I'm going to be doing research on in a year's time? I'm flying home for the ...

Sunday, March 28, 2004. Last week of classes. Ridiculous. Another year down the drain. Everything's looking up though, and I can't wait to go home. Study outside on the deck in the sun, sipping some daiquiris. The new Dark Tower book, Song of Susannah. I bought a cordless keyboard/mouse set today for 54 bucks, it's awesome! You can see it at this address. Me likes, It's perty, small, black, feels nice, and it works from the opposite end of my apartment. Pretty awesome. 1) Sky-dive or base-jump. Posted by...

Friday, August 27, 2004. Two of my friends are now living downtown. I saw MC's place yesterday, it's fantastic! So central and close to everything, and quite the nice apartment itself. It really makes me anxious to come back to Montreal next year. I so want to live a Sex and the City. I have some fun clubbing nights ahead - oh how I've missed Montreal clubs! Can't wait to rip it up on the dancefloor with my friends. Whoo! Posted by Joanna @ 2:45 AM. Monday, August 09, 2004. Ireland was fantastic. I h...

Heavier Things: January 2004
http://worldofjo.blogspot.com/2004_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 30, 2004. I got my nose pierced today. Left side, small stud, pink. In colour. It didn't really hurt at all, though it's a bit sore now. I got it done at this great place, very clean and professional: Tora Tattoo. The girl who did it was really nice. I had my friend Cassandra come to hold my hand, and Amy cowered in the corner and faced the wall. heh, she hates needles. I lost the damn sheet with the care instructions on it already. Oh well. Heavier Things: May 2004
http://worldofjo.blogspot.com/2004_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 20, 2004. Back in Waterloo for the summer. Had a very. Rough start - a complicated and unpleasant first few days. First roommate issues, and then getting yelled at by my boss who is also my thesis supervisor for next year. Add all that to the fact that I really don't want to be here and miss home, and it results in one very unhappy Jo. Everything's better now, but I still don't want to be here. Is soooooo close - I can't wait! Posted by Joanna @ 9:56 PM. Tuesday, May 11, 2004. If you say to...
