The conference room where we were located was about 200 metres from the hotel. Within minutes there were United Nations Development Program (UNDP) SUVs lined up to drive people back to the hotel. They made a quick stop in Bamako to pick up some essential eletronics we brought for them from Canada, before heading off on a crazy biking/rafting adventure down the Niger River.
