Tuesday, January 25, 2011. I took a little spill yesterday. This is the only bruise in an area appropriate to post a picture of. Long story short, I ended up on the floor, stradling the sliding door track, left leg stretched outside, right leg bent underneath in the kitchen, and a bunch of things that had hit on the way down. Thursday, March 3, 2011. Can you guess who this puppet is? Oh wait, I told you in the title. For Cayden's February book report he had to read a folklore or classic book. Since I don't know how to search for folklore at the library and since Ray already bought him Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer about a year ago, he decided on Huck Finn. After reading the book, students had to make a puppet and then give a 5 minute presentation about the character in first person (using the puppet). Sites To Live By.

Thursday, March 31, 2011. We took Cayden to a social worker that specializes in children (Elaine). I didn’t want to make her bias in any way, so I didn’t tell her my internet diagnosis of selective mutism. At the end of his first appointment she did say that he’s got an anxiety disorder (which selective mutism is). After she said that, I told her about what I’d been reading and she agreed with me. I’m starting to think therapists put peppery spray in their office or something to make my eyes water.

Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Kitty turned 16 weeks old yesterday. She cracks me up every single day. Even when she's being a pest it makes me laugh. I'm happy to have her around. She weighs in at 47 pounds (which is smaller than her brothers and sisters who are all over 60 pounds). Nothing could have prepared me for the size of this thing! I love her look, like, "What mom? I put the camera back in its case, back in my purse, and then went in and rescued Coby from the mean ol' monster Kitty. Sites To Live By.

Monday, January 31, 2011. I Didn't See That! After 20 years of wishing I'd get something funny on video tape, it finally happened! Ever since the first episode of America's Funniest Home Videos, I've dreamt of submitting a video and becoming rich. Granted, $10,000 seems like a lot less money now that I'm older. But, hey, I chould hope for the $100,000 championship prize, right? And, at the very least, Chris gets to be on tv (assuming they use it - I can't imagine they won't). January 31, 2011 at 5:40 PM.
