Jenn Musing: March 2013
http://jennmusing.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
How to Build a Page Turner. Friday, March 29, 2013. Americans everywhere are sharing their views on the marriage equality issue and rightly so. It's an issue where peoples' beliefs, emotions, and lives are involved. But what I find interesting is that while many Americans are clamoring for equal rights, there's one issue that seems to not receive as much outcry. I doubt many people even know about this, which I found posted on Fox News:. The war on Easter has begun! You can read the full article here.

The time to hesitate is through. The Doors. October 10, 2010. Jumping off the NaNoWriMo cliff. Deadlines are powerful things. With only a month to write your novel, you’ve got to get 1,667 words written per day. There’s no time for an inner-editor, you’ve just got to write, write, and write some more. This is the perfect chance to throw up words. It’s fun. Why has this nauseating feeling of fear and trepidation returned? Because I have committed myself to jumping into the NaNoWriMo. WHAT AM I DOING?

Exercising the write to ramble. Show me some attitude. Is it a good thing or a bad thing? And what kind of attitude should we have as writers? Let’s see what happened on Idol this week. Two differents contestants made it quite clear that there is a right attitude and a wrong attitude when it comes to being professional and pursuing your dreams. Contestant One: Sulky guy. Ramblings of a Writer. Just keep writing. Keep reading. If you are meant to be a writer, a storyteller, it’ll work itself out. Will work for Rye Triscuits and Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts. Tuesday, September 21, 2010. You know that feeling:. When you're sick as a dog and you've worked all day, you come home and take some extra strength super-dee-dooper medicine, slip under your covers, close your eyes, listen to the thunderstorm rolling in and smell the moisture filled air (through that one nostril that works). It's a beautiful thing. Sunday, September 12, 2010. About a week ago, Catherine over at The Writing Room. As I find a...

Monday, November 24, 2014. A convention as busy and long as Bouchercon means lots of stories. Most of which I remember after I post a summary. So here are a few more bits and pieces of memories from the event. Another author who keeps raking in the awards is Catriona McPherson, who won the Anthony Award for Best Paperback Original at Bouchercon (for As She Left It. And who was officially installed as the national president of Sisters in Crime the same day. The seal of office for SinC is a stuffed whi...
