8230; and be amazed by the ordinary. Donation: Ten Dollars for a Mango Tree. Donation: Ten Dollars for a Mango Tree. He shattered my sated haze. With his smile, his slick bag. Black, voluptuous with soil. It perched on his pedestal. Of young brown palm. And sprouted hearty twigs,. With infant leaves splayed. Against charity’s the glossy. I will plant this gift, his eyes said. It will grow beside our home. Make shade. The fruit will come. Heavy, blushing, sweet. I will take many to market. On What it Is.

8230; and be amazed by the ordinary. Donation: Ten Dollars for a Mango Tree. An agate river, a steel sky. Embrace the muted marsh. Winter’s olive green-gold cordgrass. Shivers. A bare and rusty hammock. Rises gently, a motionless mound. Plovers, pipers, ibis pecking. River mud for breakfast. Kiss themselves in the silty sheen. Anhinga drifts, observant passenger,. Seaward on the ebbing tide’s appeal. The blades wave on eastward, pausing. Just to let the other rivers pass. A frame at the northern edge,.

8230; and be amazed by the ordinary. Donation: Ten Dollars for a Mango Tree. It forced me to take time out of my busy, noisy days to focus on one thing, to listen for the small sounds, to calm my mind so I could settle my body. It made me be still. Autumn | Poetography

https://poetographyblog.wordpress.com/2013/11/08/autumn

Posted on November 8, 2013. Their leaves fall before impending cloud. Feet crunch forth despite the rain. Distracted by buzzing of the brain. Eyes on the golden path before. Fringed with honesty and wild boar. Autumn take me by the hand. Your confetti scattered throughout the land. In final celebration we look our best. Before our unwanted wintry guest. Let’s drink to life until we’re full. Booted up, wrapped in wool. For its here in the rustle of your leaves. I feel at home, my mind at ease.

Climb Aboard | Poetography

https://poetographyblog.wordpress.com/2013/12/02/climb-aboard

Posted on December 2, 2013. Make haste and take my hand. Who knows where we may land. For just this moment let’s share our day. And magic this carpet on cloudy waves. I mean you nothing untoward. But we must hurry so climb aboard. Leave today’s offerings on the floor. For we are bound for something more. And just because I know you not. Doesn’t mean we can’t get lost. So let us play in the Gardens of Babylon. Be the magic young eyes depend upon. Wave at the Wonders of the World as we fly. Create a free w...

June | Poetography

Posted on July 15, 2014. No real flowers in hospital. Where they are needed most. Love, hope and courage. Their petals bloom and boast. Instead an imitation its fragrance one of wax. Instead a priest offering salvation. Before you fall between the cracks. If you are truly present lord. Breathe life into this ward. 2 thoughts on “ June. July 16, 2014 at 11:17 am. Person in a Poem | Poetography

Person in a Poem. Posted on January 17, 2014. I was born the year Bob Marley died. Princess Diana the royal bride. I arrived in the early hours. To the yellow of my favourite flowers. Luxembourg my city of birth. My first chapter on planet earth. An old farmhouse amongst the trees. Where I’d adventure and graze my knees. Where I learnt love doesn’t always last. And my then life was to become the past. 8221; we’d shout from the boat. My heart sunk, lump in throat. I didn’t like British bread. You are comm...

Whale Bay | Poetography

Posted on May 5, 2014. The words I hope we’ll always say. Take me to the cabin at Whale Bay. Where life and laughter is all ours. And we can sit beneath the stars. Cradle tea on a dewy afternoon. Hope that time doesn’t pass too soon. Just you, me and our beautiful boy. Stuffing our hearts with love and joy. Free my lungs to breathe the air. Fill our childs head with stories there. In a land of magic we’ll feel at home. A treasure island to adventure and roam. This is how we’ll celebrate your day. Enter y...

Interview of the Heart. Posted on December 2, 2013. 8220;What would you know of pain? His flippant timbre came again. Four hours you both kept me sitting there. Upholding myself in the guessing chair. Four years and one of you wouldn’t be there. Absent from this tale we share. Helena Bonham Carter in A Room with a View. 8221; his creed we felt too. Lucy Honeychurch and her battle of the heart. I knew the lines, I’ve played the part. All I want is the chance to write. You both agreed to give me a place.

Posted on December 3, 2013. You are watching me. Eyes a well of words. Write it now, write it quick. Or from your mind these words will slip. You sit before me on the train. Tossing a pen it starts again. Search for paper or write on your hand. I am the voice beckoning you to write. At any given moment. A passion you can’t do without. A whisper in your ears. Hope | Poetography

https://poetographyblog.wordpress.com/2014/01/02/hope

Posted on January 2, 2014. An optimistic American cuts a slice of cornbread. Its golden dough brings fortune it’s said. A Japanese girl is served a speciality. The length of a noddle denotes longevity. A musing figure enjoys pork with his chess. A Cuban wish to grow and progress. A Filipino father gathers thirteen round fruit. Such a lucky tradition his family follow suit. The Chinese word for abundance sounds like fish. And so it is served dish after dish. A Turkish couple share pomegranate and bread.

My Sun | Poetography

https://poetographyblog.wordpress.com/2014/01/14/my-sun

Posted on January 14, 2014. Imagine if I’d met you then. A London café at dawn. Would you have placed a warm hand on mine? Eyes promising the future. That you’d be in mine. Sun would soon pour through. This would all be a dream. So for a moment I’d forget my cup. I’d feel full up. I’d listen to your life from the very start. The moment we met. A golden glimpse of my futures path. Meaning “He will laugh”. And finally when moon became sun. I’d be dreaming of the day. I became your mum. You are commenting u...

Friday, January 19, 2018. A joyous necessity of life. Dear friends and readers,. I'd like to draw attention to a one of my collections on Pinterest. In fact, I'd like to regularly draw attention to it. It's entitled " Happiness Project. And it's my go-to place when I'm feeling down. During my lifetime, I've struggled with depression (teenage years), panic attacks (early twenties) and brain fog (late twenties/early thirties) and I'm at a point where I can say I have beaten all three! Catherine Favier, professional painter

Painting, is for me like a precious need or like a breath. I feel it deep inside in me like an emergency. An emergency to make of the shape, the shapeless. Each time I am facing a canvas I know that the painting already started even before the fist touch. I like to establish this initial relation with lines, with drawings, with a general structure. Usually the painting structure is done with a pencil, and when the painting is done, some of them remains visible. At the contrary, I never show an image.
