About: Welcome to Catherine Jackson’s Realm of Thinking? Oh What a Day! June 15, 2013. Week 3: Chapters 5-8 Reading Blog: Practicing Freedom. This week’s readings, especially chapter 5- Leading From Any Chair , just happened to coincide with training teachers. I thought it was interesting enough that I posed the question as an opener for participants: Where do you lead from? They told me to make eye contact and point when certain instruments were to be emphasized. Of course, I had no idea when this w...

BP8_RILS Reflection | Madidi Blog
https://madidiblog.wordpress.com/2012/10/19/bp8_rils-reflection
Planning and implementing the RILS has been an insightful and informative experience. I implemented the RILS with two learners, one successfully and the other not successfully. Throughout this experience, I learned many lessons, many of which are the reasons for the unsuccessful effort with one learner. I learned that it is crucial to have at least a basic understanding of how Google. Integrates with the other tools in the Google. Suite I became even more aware of the importance of the black bar. You are...

Super Awesome Mega Blog. Wesley Hancock's Blog. Laquo; PE2 Photoshop Dreamscapes. BP7 Queeky: An Artistic Endeavor! October 14, 2012 by wesleyhancock. The biggest take away from the video series I watched on Dreamscapes was the use of a few techniques to really create some out of this world imagery. This is an old photo of Sherlock. So, taking after Bert’s advice, I used this as the basis for my shot. For the environment, I went onto sxc.hu. I present to you, “Sherlock’s Dream”. I love this-I am going to...

Week 1 Leadership Project. I’ll admit it; I was a bit freaked out when I heard about the Leadership Project. I have been trying to decide which opportunity I was less terrified of trying to get an article published or presenting at a conference. My initial reaction was I wonder if there is a third option. Has given me a newfound confidence and I’m not as intimidated about public speaking as I once was. So I’m taking that as a sign this is a good choice for me. The Art of Possibility →. Great to hear your...

Week 4 Leadership Role Model | techie time

Week 4 Leadership Role Model. The person I admire for her leadership was Sally Allred. In high school was my Typing 2 teacher and I also had her for shorthand, which honestly I sucked at. She always encouraged me and used humor in her classroom. She wasn’t afraid to laugh at herself. She was always willing to stay and talk to students. My senior year I was her teacher’s aide. She was the first teacher who let me be in the mentor role. He makes a point to know all about our families and asks about them...
