about
http://cathrynmcphotography.com/about.html
Cathy McCrery-Cordle lives in the Western Sierra Foothills with her husband and two teenage children. When her children were young, Cathy began noticing certain details in nature like blossoms on fruit trees and the way water beaded across leaves after it rained. She began photographing these subjects, and experienced a growing sense of excitement and curiosity in photography. Cathy sells her work locally and is published in the anthology, Sierra Wonders by the Arts Alliance of Three Rivers.

statement
http://cathrynmcphotography.com/statement.html
When I photograph things like this, I am reminded of the preciousness of life and my connection to family and friends, realizing that on any given day, I might have to say, goodbye. Therefore, I try to preserve the beauty I find in nature, through photography, knowing that this moment, too shall pass. The urgency I feel connects me with a greater sense of the fragility of life and is reflected in my approach to photography.

Thursday, March 21, 2013. My April 2013 Montford Newsletter article. ONE HUNDRED YEARS AGO in MONTFORD. Seated in the parlor of the. Pinecrest Bed and Breakfast. 8221; Responding and pointing, she said, “the forsythia,” not yet able to say more. “Did that happen just today? 8221; I asked, and with her surprise now shared, she said yes. While she wasn’t looking that morning, it produced its first yellow blooms, tentative little babies shivering on winter’s lonesome brown branches. On April 10, 1913, The A...

The Meighans
Thursday, January 6, 2011. Okay, so my pictures are uploaded backwards. But here is my Christmas post.finally! Here is Rudy enjoying the Christmas tissue paper. He sat in the middle of us unwrapping gifts in awe.and when we were done, he had a ball tearing the tissue paper to shreds. Another view of the tree and gifts. My mama always used a code instead of names so we couldn't compare (or open) our gifts ahead of time. I use a code too. This year's code was a numerical one.and it bit me i...And yes, thos...
