Faith in Every Footstep

Faith in Every Footstep. Along the Rocky Road of Amyloidosis. Saturday, October 8, 2011. What a crazy summer, even for me. First things first. The amyloidosis. Is technically cured. Because I had a liver transplant, my liver is no longer producing amyloid. The good news. Because I had a liver transplant, I have to take a ton of drugs- the bad news. Recently, I have had some of my immunosuppressants. Reduced. I am being "weaned" off of prednisone. And our adventures and not about being sick! We got a very...

Faith in Every Footstep: Happy Birthday Robert!

http://www.cathyandlon.blogspot.com/2011/02/happy-birthday-robert.html

Faith in Every Footstep. Along the Rocky Road of Amyloidosis. Thursday, February 10, 2011. Our second son Robert is 36 today. He is married and he and his wife have five really cute kids. Lon and I were reminiscing (and laughing way too much) about what was going on 36 years ago. I was released from the hospital just before lunch, and being starving, we stopped at our favorite Chinese restaurant. We were thoroughly enjoying our Shopper's Special, and by golly, labor began. http://www.cathyandlon.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Faith in Every Footstep. Along the Rocky Road of Amyloidosis. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. A long, long day. We decided to go home through Half Moon Bay along the Coast. It was very pretty and we got some peas (Karen, they were even more delicious than the ones we got). We had to stop at Kaiser to pick up the prescriptions and I had to do some labs. Finally we got home, only to go back after dinner to get more meds and another lab test. I was tired! To a high of 32 inches (what were you thinking Randy?

http://www.cathyandlon.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Faith in Every Footstep. Along the Rocky Road of Amyloidosis. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. I don't have to go back to UCSF for three months! And I only need blood tests every other week. My kidney function inched up a little more, and I am so grateful for that- I can really notice how much better I feel. I think my scar is appalling- Lon says it is a badge of honor! I an so thankful this is becoming boring. It sure beats exciting! Thursday, October 7, 2010. My kidneys are working too well (barely!

Chicka Chicka Bloom Bloom: Cameron is Six!!!

http://chickachickabloombloom.blogspot.com/2010/11/cameron-is-six.html

Chicka Chicka Bloom Bloom. Will there be enough room? Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Today Cameron turned six. Last night I tried the usual, asking him to skip his birthday and just stay little. He didn't go for it. "Oh, yeah right," he said with a giggle. This morning he proudly looked in the mirror and said, "Look how tall I am now, I'm gonna need some new clothes! He did look a little bigger today. I can't believe I have a six year old! He is honest. I completely trust him when he is telling me someth...

http://chickachickabloombloom.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Chicka Chicka Bloom Bloom. Will there be enough room? Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Lately we've been burning lots of fires to warm up the basement. Cameron and Jake can set them up all by themselves for Ben to light. They even carry in all the wood to keep it going. They LOVE to make fires and the LOVE to toast marshmallows in their fires. Indoor smores have become one of our new cold weather traditions. Here are my future toasters enjoying their family home evening treats. Sunday, January 9, 2011.

Joy in the Little Things: 30 Days of Thanksgiving #3

http://joyinthelittlethings.blogspot.com/2009/11/30-days-of-thanksgiving-3.html

Joy in the Little Things. Tuesday, November 3, 2009. 30 Days of Thanksgiving #3. Today I'm grateful for my Gorgeous Grandma. A little over a year ago she had to get a pacemaker. She had a follow-up visit today and I got to spend a couple of hours with her at her appointment, lunch and visiting Grandpa (at Wasatch Lawn.) She is doing so much better than she was a year ago! I'm grateful that the doctors were able to figure out the problem and fix it! Labels: 30 Days of Thanksgiving. Please Pray for Tyler.

Joy in the Little Things. Wednesday, November 4, 2009. 30 Days of Thanksgiving #4. In August, I had the privilege of joining the Salt Lake Choral Artists. I have loved singing in a choir again! We're now working on music for our Christmas concert and I am in heaven! Besides the requisite Rutter songs (it's just not Christmas without them! We're also doing three movements of Rachmaninoff's Vespers - in Russian. I can't begin to tell you how happy it makes me! Labels: 30 Days of Thanksgiving. Chicka Chicka...

Chicka Chicka Bloom Bloom. Will there be enough room? Friday, February 26, 2010. I have heard that question way too many times! The hospital had a room for me to stay in near the NICU and after we decided I wrote it in the blog and fell asleep within two minutes. When I got up a couple of hours later to go feed her, the nurse had already made her a name sign. She wasted no time! Thursday, February 25, 2010. Her little sunglasses are totally stylin'. Keeping up with the Kiddos. Friday, June 2, 2017. My daughter's teacher is getting married in July and before the end of the school year I threw her a SURPRISE bridal shower with a couple other moms. First, I've never thrown a bridal shower and second, I've never thrown a surprise party. Especially one that involved 40 kids! I was a bit nervous. Long story short. It was a successful surprise and a GREAT party! I made 20 unique BINGO cards using 24 different wedding images. 1 Your email address. 3 The brid...

Tuesday, April 1, 2008. 15 minutes ago, i thought Lizzie was really considering changing to my school(Yesh! She told me she got suspended by her school for a week. Why? Because she argued with her teacher(she sure has got some guts). Now, it really got me worried, cause a young lady like her wouldn't be that rude or perphaps the school's not being rational. So i asked her in a proper manner hoping not to arouse her anger."mana tau".april fools! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
