Our 11 year old daughter Lara was excited to arrive in Colombo she was treating it as a big holiday, however our son Romesh who is 13 cried for the first 3 days after we arrived. It broke my heart to see what we were doing to him and I was actually considering whether we should forget the whole idea and just go home. We were staying at Aravinda De Silva's spare.
