Alpha and Omega →. Like a child…. April 29, 2014. Receive the Kingdom like a child. If you have ever spent ANY time around children….you will know what Jesus meant when He said this. He was teaching all those who would hear….that you have to accept it with innocence, simple trust, and dependence. It’s not about how much you know, accomplishments, or your social status. It’s about simple faith in a loving God. Would I accept it…without pretense? Without worry. Without all my complications and junk.

Shine a Light…… →. January 21, 2014. Today I ran 3 miles. In a row. Without walking. I know it’s not monumental. I have a brother who runs crazy marathons in deserts. But while I was running….after the burning ache in my chest subsided….I thought about my body 3 years ago. Legs broken and hurting. And I am thankful. I am thankful I’m still standing. August 6, 2014. Generosity is a funny thing. I thought it was an easy word to define and explain until God had a story for me to tell. With a shotgun prayer on my lips I clicked SEND, and waited to see what God would do. He sent big items, little items and everything in between. And He sent lessons…lessons on what it looks like to give, and to receive. Lesson #1…….don’t be afraid to give people the opportunity to be generous. It’s too nice! Let me say upfront that I do not hate Facebook…in fact, I find that the ability to keep up with, and communicate with friends and family who live across this vast continent, is one of its BEST qualities. Still waiting on the honeymoon. Monday, August 3, 2015. For Kai's Birthday we headed down to Galveston with his two best friends, Harrison and Lukas. We played all day at the beach: checking out mussels in the sand, boogie boarding, digging holes, building sandcastles, and playing in the waves. The next day we headed down to The Strand to Kai's favorite place in Galveston, Boardgame Island. We played games and sipped on sodas for hours. Happy 10th Birthday Big Guy! Ryan, Lindsay, Kai, Andrew, and Malia.

Still waiting on the honeymoon. Tuesday, October 21, 2014. As the weather starts to cool down. I wanted to take one last look at this summer. Or maybe I just forgot to post this trip to the beach and just found all these great pictures). Either way.Galveston pictures overload! The kids did a lot of digging, swimming and playing football in the sand. Not really sure if the one above is football of ballet). Poor Giblet (Emma's Dog) got harmlessly tortured this trip by his loving owner. Kai made Harry Potter.

Still waiting on the honeymoon. Saturday, June 21, 2014. Usually, every summer, I make a list of 100 things I plan to do with the kids. We get about half way though it and then realize that we have have run out of money or time or ambition. So this year I decided to simply list all the awesome stuff out as we do it in hope that it gets to 100.so here goes. We have season passes this year so we go about once a week. 2 Miller Outdoor Theater-. Performed and had a picnic in the park. 3 Make homemade playdoh.

Still waiting on the honeymoon. Wednesday, November 5, 2014. October is one of my favorite months. It is when we are finally adjusted to going back to school. The weather is wonderful and the holiday season is still fresh and exciting. This year one of my friends wanted to carve pumpkins with me and the kids. Still waiting on the honeymoon. Monday, March 16, 2015. This Spring Break Rocked.While is rained all week in Houston, We enjoyed sunshine and snow in Ruidoso, New Mexico. On our way back to Midland, we stopped by Roswell, NM to do a little alien search and eat some delicious mexican food. Back in Midland, we visited the The Museum of the Southwest.
