After 2 cancelled matches due to the recent Weather the Newton Abbot Juniors finally managed to get back on the bank. Dad and Lad Fishing. Wednesday, 16 September 2015. Spring Ponds Summer league Final Round 12th September. Just a quick post about this match as not a lot happened for me in fact I didn't get a bite for 4 hours but then had 5 nice carp for 12.5lbs all from the margins. Dad and Lad Fishing. Monday, 5 October 2015. Newton Abbot Juniors Carp Match 26th/27th September. Newton Abbot Juniors Carp Match Sept 26th/27th. This match took place over 2 days day 1 fishing on weedy lake not a lot to report as only 1 fish was caught between the 6 anglers and the sooner the club change the venue for day 1 the better, but congratulations to young Ben on Catching an 11lb Carp in the last 5 minutes and winning on the day. Bait for the day would be mainly pellet with some meat as back up.

After picking up a new seatbox from Ivybridge i was in two minds whether to fish Filham Park or Little Allers fishery as both were within 5 Minutes but after speaking to a PADCAC member i decided on Filham with the promise of lots of fish and a possible Chub. Dad and Lad Fishing. Monday, 25 January 2016. River Culm Cullompton Free Stretch 23/01/2016. Really disappointed when my son Robbie went down with Tonsilitis on Friday as he was really looking forward to going fishing but i ventured out myself and settled for The River Culm a lovely little stretch just below the motorwat bridge. I only took 2 rods 1 for float fishing and another for a small open ended feeder that i would be fishing at the bottom end of the run. I struck and wound in a small roach of 4oz.
