Friday, January 6, 2017. January 1st 2017 - Rio Bend. We've settled in here in the valley. Quiet farm community. This is probably one of the nicest places we've been. The spaces are wide and roomy, and especially ours as we are in a corner lot and have even more than the rest. Now we just have to get plugged into the local activities more. Shuffleboard, anyone? Park entrance. The roads in this county are horrible. Our big corner lot. This part of the park road is apparently owned by these noisy geese.

Thursday, July 23, 2015. July 4th 2015 Devils Lake Parade. Wow What a late post. I've been procrastinating all month on this, but here goes. Saturday morning, Laurie was at work. I had to drive in to get her and then drive to Devils Lake for the July 4th parade which we often participate in. I left the house early. The sky was clear except for all the smoke. There had been a major fire in Canada and our sky was grey and dim for five days. The sun was usually orange or deep red. Parade begins. Finally.

Saturday, October 29, 2016. September 22nd. Chula Vista. So this is the world in which we have inserted ourselves. The Chula Vista RV resort is a walled in RV and camper resort on the shore on San Diego bay. We discovered this place last year when our friends France and Francine stayed here while Francine had a contract at Sharp Hospital. We've taken some walks on the beach, done a little geocaching in the area, and begun to explore some taprooms and local breweries. One of our first sunsets on the bay.
