Encountering God and Life through Everyday Epiphanies. The Experience of Sabbath. March 15, 2014. Just a Saturday. Just another Saturday morning and I am just enjoying sitting around, being lazy, watching Aiden and Leo play while Elana and I do our best to read. It’s a rainy day, one that invites some rest, some napping, and probably some unhealthy eating habits. Laquo; Loving Aiden. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Encountering God and Life through Everyday Epiphanies. The Experience of Sabbath. March 15, 2014. While I am on Lenten gratitude highs as it were…. How can I not proclaim the awesomeness of Stanton’s City Bites in Houston? I mean, they usually got a great drink selection (both brews and non alcoholic), 9 fantastic burger choices, better than decent fries, and some really great owners and service. And did I mention the burgers? The Miss Piggie with bacon and candied bacon is legit awesome. And I can’...

Encountering God and Life through Everyday Epiphanies. The Experience of Sabbath. March 7, 2014. Waking up grateful…. So yesterday I went to this conference and one of the presentations was about mind and body wellness. Particularly, the speaker asked everyone to start their mornings before even getting up from the bed by thinking of 5 people, letting their image come to mind, and acknowledging our gratitude for them. Short, like 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Who was I grateful for? But today, being grateful ...

Listening to God | Ordinary Treasures

Encountering God and Life through Everyday Epiphanies. The Experience of Sabbath. January 19, 2014. This morning I went up to church early to share in our time of solitude in the auditorium. It was a time for renewal, a time for reflection, and a time to connect with God. My time was certainly blessed by the presence of God who led me in challenging ways. Much of it was inspired by what I saw around me during this time:. I must admit, I don’t know. I try and find blessings, but it’s been ...Enter your co...

Monday, August 6, 2012. Is it time already? I think it is time to start weaning D. My milk supply is not as it was (due to the start of a diet? It seems around the same time it started tapering off with K, so maybe that is just the way my body is. I'm kind of sad and kind of ready. I'll start by going down to 3 times a day and supplementing with the huge supply I have in the freezer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Other writings to read. Because I Said So. Lovely Blue Skies: October 2011

Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Are You Watching It? So I admit I am addicted to The X Factor. I never really watched American Idol, but while flipping through the channels a few weeks ago I came across The X Factor and that was it for me. Watching regular people realize their dream gets me every time. I pretty much cry at some point during every episode and I don't think I can completely blame the hormones. Contestants range from 14 to 60 - yes 60! And as I watch, I see my own hopes and dreams dribble away.

http://w2510.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 20, 2010. I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Today, I slept til 9:30. This two week break could not come any sooner! My family is going to San Antonio for Christmas, staying in a fancy old hotel and doing grown up things like eating nice meals and going to the Tuna Christmas play on Christmas evening. This is a good (after so much sad and worrisome) time for our family. Thank God for doing bigger things than I could ever "fix"! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). And So They Met.
