Sunday, November 28, 2004. Thanksgiving by the numbers. 10 kids (run amok). 3 dogs (not on the menu). 1 bottle of moonshine. Wednesday, June 28, 2006. I had to leave my friends at the Farmers’ Market early in the morning for an appointment to donate blood. On the way downtown it started raining buckets. This route takes me through the most tourist/yuppie/cabbie infested part of town and is no fun to get through. Today though, the drivers were very nice and gave me my space. Wednesday, June 29, 2005. I have never been good at ignoring itches: I simply must scratch. I have a few chicken-pox scars from kindergarten because I scratched them. Mosquito bites also must be scratched until my skin is red and the bites have swelled many times their original size. Tuesday, October 17, 2006. I officially became a Board Member of Chicago's bike advocacy group last week. I haven't even ridden past the disabled Dork Bike - I must stop being lazy and get her home soon! I'm feeling more comfortable on the Julep - enough so that I rode her home from work in high heels twice last week. She needs some maintenance, though - her tires are mushy and there is a creaky/crunchy noise coming from bottom bracket/drive train. I hate my job and have been having bad dreams about it.

Wednesday, October 04, 2006. BUT, it is also marks the second year anniversary of being a full-fledged, year-round, Chicago bike commuter. Yeah! In the summer of 2001, I began bike commuting from Uptown, Minneapolis to downtown St. Paul. However, two years ago was when I started my first job in Chicago and had my first commute in Chicago (the half-mile walk to law school doesn’t count as a ‘commute’).
