Monday, September 15, 2008. Hiking and exploring for homework! This Saturday we headed out to the teeny, fun town of Morrison, CO near Red Rocks to explore the surrounding Geology for one of Parker's grad classes. It was a beautiful evening and it was great to get out and enjoy the comfortable weather hiking around in the brush! I like this picture- classic Geologist. Parker was not seen with out his rockhammer! I found all sorts of cool things to take pics of! There were cactus EVERYWHERE! Hammer to sca...

Thursday, September 24, 2009. Getting sick of Imogene's Antlers? First, I apologize to everyone who has come to my blog in hopes that I finally posted something. I know I am way behind! It might take me awhile to catch up. Some basic info is that we are still in Golden, we had a CRAZY summer, and we are enjoying our hectic and very full life! We are grateful for our family and friends, and are happy that Parker and I are in the same state most of the time now- like I said crazy summer! Mark and Bre Ahrens.

On our way to Galveston we took a scenic route, due to a necessity pictured below, and ended up at a lovely picnic area at the entrance to the NASA Johnson Space Center. A perfect spot, complete with educational opportunities and refreshing shade on a hot September day. My mama and I, plus invisible baby. Fabulous darling, you look faaabulous! People say the Galv...

Thursday, November 6, 2008. Speaking of new hairstyles. This is the picture I posted on Facebook one night that got me into trouble. I guess it looks real because tons of people believed and were shocked about the drastic change! As soon as I found out the magnitude of my fooling, I revealed the truth with the picture below. It is a really funny memory to me now. Everyone's comments before the truth and after cracked me up hard! The wig was definitely a good purchase. $1 at Goodwill second hand store.

Valora Highlights: Our Baby's Blessing
http://parkerandemily.blogspot.com/2011/01/our-babys-blessing.html
Thursday, January 13, 2011. Parker, Em, Baby Adi, Grandma Julie, and Grandpa Bill. I am so grateful for the priesthood and not only for the special blessing my husband was able to give our daughter but for the continued blessing of having a righteous priesthood holder in our home and as my companion. This is cool. I knew about the dress mom made but that is neat about the blanket that Parker had as a baby. (I am glad that you got a good family picture that day, it turned out really well!

Friday, February 12, 2010. Tuesday I passed my test for an additional personal training certification! The last three months (except for our fantastic Christmas vacation to Alaska) have been full of studying every minute! I have my life back! Seriously, I have just been happy! Not only do I feel accomplished with all I have learned, my house is now clean, my husband eats home cooked meals, I work out everyday, I call my family, I wake up smiling, I burst into song and can't stop myself, etc, etc.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009. I love this picture, the photographer must be quite talented.). He lived through the snakes, the fire evacuation and smoke and last but not least the voracious mosquitoes, their masses truly had the capacity to suck him dry! He put some more hours under his belt of climbing fences, chasing escaped cattle, wild turkeys, and the frequent lizard. He also had quite the scare with a crazy 8 yr old boy 4wheel driver whose passengers were the boy's mother and a little baby. It is ha...
