The RJ Ranch: April 2006
http://rjranch.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 27, 2006. RED, YELLOW, BLUE. Last fall, while shopping at Wally-World I purchased a package of tulip bulbs. From the package description the bulbs had brilliant red blooms. This is what came up. They’re beautiful, aren’t they? Apparently someone does not fully understand the primary colors or my career as an art teacher has suddenly come to an end. The RJ Ranch: June 2006
http://rjranch.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 26, 2006. This is a frequent visitor to our gardens. We think he's a Warbler but doesn't match (exactly) any of the species identified in our Bird Identification Book. It's said that Warblers are not exactly faithful to their species and will breed with other Warblers. So, this one may be a hybrid. Pretty though. Posted by Jacqueline @ 8:46 PM 0 comments. Thursday, June 22, 2006. Then again, maybe he was looking at something else. Posted by Jacqueline @ 7:55 PM 2 comments. Just as I picked u...

http://rjranch.blogspot.com/2009/04/march-in-like-lion-and-out-like-lamb.html
Thursday, April 02, 2009. In like a lion and out like a lamb. Right? Yea, right. I think someone let the lion out too soon and it ate the lamb. In the last 24 hours we've had freezing rain, sleet, hail, big puffy snow flakes, and small snow pellets (affectionately called 'grapple' by the local news media). Today the sun managed to poke through the clouds for a few (and I do mean a very 'few') moments. Posted by Jacqueline @ 2:02 PM. All the pictures are really good.nice photography. The RJ Ranch: October 2006
http://rjranch.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 26, 2006. I'm finally finished (I think). The final count is 160 jars (minus what we've used or given away). I know you thought I was kidding about these being Christmas presents (I wasn't). Now you have a choice to make. This is the final list and what you have to choose from. Apple Butter (12 oz) - Very tasty. Apple Sauce (Qt and Pt) - Great flavor/texture. Not too sweet. Good on ice cream. Apple Sauce w/Red Hots (Qt) - Sweet - great taste. On the upside we now have time to do some wo...

The RJ Ranch: February 2006
http://rjranch.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 28, 2006. We have a new mail box. The poor old one that sagged to starboard and swayed in the breeze is gone. Here to stay (unless some passing motorist takes it out) is the new, improved safety mailbox. Why is it a safety mail box? Because it has a lock on itooh. It used to be all we had to do was drive up to the box, open the door and voila, we had our mail. Now, instead of just opening the box and retrieving the mail one must use the key. What happens if we lose our key? Much of the ...

http://rjranch.blogspot.com/2009/01/winter-it-blocks-sun-and-chills-air.html
Thursday, January 29, 2009. It blocks the sun and chills the air. It kills the tender leaf. And leaches the color from the landscape. We have had a freezing fog here for the past two weeks. My sister (being from California) asked if this is the way it was going to be for the rest of the winter. Up until the fog started we had had record breaking snow falls. Of course. I told her, "No, the weatherman is predicting snow again." I don't think that is what she wanted to hear. Posted by Jacqueline @ 1:29 PM.
