View my complete profile. Going to the Recruiter. Monday, 1 September 2008. Ther than schooling I hope to complete my car. I am building a Lotus 7 replica from scratch at my mothers house, and when I get out I will certainly get back to working on it. This is the build log for the car: Blake's Lucky 7. With the money I have saved up from my enlistment I should be able to finish it, with some nice parts to boot! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Going to the Recruiter

http://cbarmyblogrec.blogspot.com/2008/09/i-finally-made-first-step-in-joining.html

Going to the Recruiter. Going to the Recruiter. Wednesday, 24 September 2008. Finally made the first step in joining the Army, going to talk to a recruiter. It was exciting to get the ball rolling, but had me a bit nervous as well. Joining the Army is no small event. The nearest recruiter station was about 15 minutes away, and was easily spotted by the uniformed soldiers and sailors outside. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Basic Training: Basic Training

http://cbarmyblogbct.blogspot.com/2009/05/basic-training.html

Going to the Recruiter. Sunday, 3 May 2009. After the first 2 months we began transitioning into the AIT part of training, the MOS specific lessons. We jumped right into driving our tank on a simulator that was supposed to cost a couple million dollars. That was fun, but driving the real thing was even cooler. It's hard to explain the feeling of 70 tons and 1500 horsepower at your control, but "humbling" is a good place to start. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

MEPS

Going to the Recruiter. Going to the Military Entrance Processing Station was the third step to becoming a soldier, after talking to a recruiter and taking the ASVAB. Perhaps the biggest step, in terms of what you do, is the MEPS. It's a long process, and you'll take, most likely, the most thorough physical of your life. Things to bring to the MEPS:. Change of clothes. Shirt, pants, socks, underwear (men, no thongs. Yes they say that! At 4:30 in the morning a loud pounding on the door came. I was rea...
