Both of us contributed to our travel planning. While Xi-An with the terracotta warriors was a must for Carson, so was the scenery of the limestone/kast mountains along the Li river near Guilin for me. And we were not disappointed! Carson & Katja: Macau

We took the Ferry from Hong Kong to Macau which took about 70 minutes. We ventured around the main Island, strolled along the old part of town to the ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral and Mont Fort where one has a great view of the Island/s. Then we decided to move on to one of the Islands itself: Taipa. We explored the old village of Taipa and had a fantastic meal in one of the best portugese restaurants on the Island called 'A Petisqueira'. I could hardly walk afterwards I was so full. Fun with Food, Part 2.

Honeymooners are going romantic. Hangzhou. Remember the saying: "In heaven there is paradise, on earth Suzhou and Hangzhou" from our last posting? The area here is also famous for its Green Tea (Long Jing - one of the best in China) and its silk production. So when a major thunderstorm greeted us upon arrival yesterday, we instead ventured to the national silk museum to learn all about the history, tradition and making of silk and then walk back to the Hotel along the east side of the lake.
