Friday, July 29, 2011. Had our farewell party. We all wore summer kimono called yukata. It was sweet and sad and I cried. Anyways, I gotta finish packing so I'm just going to post pictures. Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Kindergarten and a Night at Saki's With a Trip to Sento! So, the past two Mondays, I worked at the kindergarten. It was so much fun! Now onto last night. After Kindergarten, Iona, Nausicaa and I spent the night at Saki's house. It was a BLAST! We went to a coffee shop, then went to Saki's house, and after taling with her mom and such, we went up on the roof with some water and tunes and just relaxed and danced and talked. It was a ton of fun. At the coffee shop. Me on the roof.

Monday, August 1, 2011. I'm home. The past four months were unforgettable and amazing and I have no regrets. I did and experienced things that I never imagined myself doing. I have grown as a person and widened my horizons. It was spectacular. Enough mushy stuff. The Birds of Guyana. As a child and young man I remember the birds of Guyana, and especially the birds we saw in Georgetown and outlying areas. Certain local names come to mind: Kiskadee, Blue-saki, God-bird, Jumby bird, etc. During drives into the countryside a glimpse of some of the more colorful birds created an air of mystery and excitement.
