The story of the construction and operation of an HO scale model railroad. Thursday, December 12, 2013. The weather has turned cold and the model railroading bug has bitten me! I have been working on some major changes to the Dragonfly Sub. The preliminary scenery at the Green River has been removed in favor of a different method. A "sky" backdrop is being installed on the Masonite. (More on that in a later post). A possible tunnel will be added to help mask/hide some trackage and give more scenic relief...

Carthage, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. The Carthage and Burlington RR was organized at Carthage, IL, on April 18, 1867 to construct a railroad from East Burlington, IL, southerly to connect with the Quincy and Warsaw RR at Carthage, a distance of 30.4 miles.
