Danny can't wake up, Mrs. Torrance.: November 2009
http://iamcooper.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Danny can't wake up, Mrs. Torrance. Saturday, November 07, 2009. All the Things that Went Wrong - Part Six. Day Six - Sunday, August 30th. I decide to call some of the wiser ones in our church for advice. When I use the hotel phone, it won't allow me to call long distance with Visa. I try calling collect. No one is answering. I can't get a hold of anyone. I must use my cellphone which costs a ridiculous amount of money. I get a hold of Ted and ask if I can call him back collect. He agrees. We try calling...

the blogspot of the travelling hobo: trust
http://thetravellinghobo.blogspot.com/2008/04/trust.html
Sunday, April 20, 2008. I have been thinking this morning about trust. have you ever noticed how so many people are scared to trust? We don't want to trust others. they may hurt us, disappoint us, let us down. we don't trust ourselves for the same reasons. why is it so hard to trust God? He has never disappointed. he has never let us down. he has never left us high and dry to provide for ourselves. in fact, he promises. That he will never. Us and not to. Us plans to give us hope. The blogspot of the trav...

Oh Mi Gato: April 2010
http://suckerfish85.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 28, 2010. I have been doing a healthy amount of writing over the past week. Feels good. Creativity in general feels good. I've been doing some drawing and other sorts of creating lately just because it feels good. I like to call these things "little projects.". The drawings were simple reflections on different Psalms. I think I only did the first six, but I will slowly continue to move through them. (At this rate I will finish a few years before my 100th birthday, haha.). OK Here we go.

Oh Mi Gato: My Glass of Eggnog is Half Full.
http://suckerfish85.blogspot.com/2010/11/my-glass-of-eggnog-is-half-full.html
Wednesday, November 17, 2010. My Glass of Eggnog is Half Full. Brrr - cold tears. This morning involved a car too cold to start and a subsequent emotional breakdown. I had my car plugged in overnight because it wouldn't start yesterday. It still wouldn't start this morning, so I had Sam try and jump-start me. No workey. And it's not even that. In my upset state this morning, I frowned at God and said, "What the heck? Job was facing trouble far worse than my own when he said,. Who I am not. When things co...

Oh Mi Gato: October 2009
http://suckerfish85.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 25, 2009. The other night I was reading a book called Gracias: A Latin American Journal. By Henri Nouwen. One of his journal entries stirred my hunger for justice back to life a little bit. The emotions I went through when I read this section gave me a taste of what I used to feel like nearly all of the time. It is a tough, good feeling. If God really exists, if he truly cares, if he never leaves his people alone, who is there to remind him of his promises? Turn again, we implore, look do...
