Italy and Greece 2011. Thursday, April 28, 2011. Day 2—Saturday- Today we arrived in Rome in early evening and met our Tour Director,. Cristina and our first driver, Diego. Cristina is Italian AND Greek, the perfect guide for our trip! After loading up the bus we drive to our first hotel, Hotel Villa Maria in Bracciano, about one hour north of Rome. Bracciano is located near a huge lake, or lago, and from our hotel we can see the castle where Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes got married!

There are tons of great restaurants here and we had our first opportunity to eat some pizza and some gelato!
