The family of Joseph Parsons started a lobster business on Salt Island. By the 1950s, only a few lobster shacks remained from Guy Parsons, known as the Hermit of Salt Island. A castle was built on the island for a Hollywood movie. It was erected for the Fox Films production of a 15-part movie called Bride 13. In one of the scenes, gun powder and dynamite were used to blow the castle up. The film is now considered lost as no known copies exist. For additional info please e-mail:. Winchester, Ma 01890.
