It was founded in 2001 as BDA (Biotherapy Development Association) and changed its name to CDDF (Cancer Drug Development Forum) in 2014. While BDA focus was initially around immunotherapy, in recent years the association has embraced all forms of cancer drug development and therefore wanted a name that better reflects the organisation breadth of interests.
