Today we walked 14.9 miles with 3182ft of ascent in 7 hours 29 minutes at an average speed of 2 mph. There was a strong, blustery wind all day and one very sudden heavy shower when we were only about 2 minutes walk from the B&B. We saw two grey herons and one little egret at Bosherston Lily Ponds. Today we walked 10.9 miles with 2139ft of ascent in 5 hours 30 minutes at an average speed of 2 mph. We had heavy rain all day but our Paramo gear kept us dry! September 1, 2011. We are now over half way! Feeling fairly good but well aware we have walked a few miles. Today we walked 16.4 miles with 2562ft of ascent in 7 hours 1 minute at an average speed of 2.3mph. Tonight’s B&B is good. Tomorrow we will probably walk about 17 miles in total.
