Tuesday, May 31, 2011. What do you really really really want? How do I even learn to see the things I truly want? I've always tried not to want the things I want, because the more I want them the more I'll be disappointed, so I tell myself that I don't need anything and that I can be happy with whatever. You see, this has been a question God has been asking me a lot lately. "What do you want? Before I knew it, I was driving home with Kitty, complete with her food, toys, and automated self-cleaning litter...

Monday, June 21, 2010. On how Christian life is like DnD. I know at least God will read them, and maybe a few of you as well might read and be encouraged by the things I have been thinking about. For people just entering relationship with God, they have just become a level 1 Christian. Now, what do people love most in DnD? No, I'm not talking about gold. What do they love more than gold? That's not fun at all! The next question is, how do we get xp? DM: "Wait, what? Why don't you try attacking it? Does t...

Saturday, November 19, 2011. On information and application. In starting to write a new blog post today, I found this one I wrote a few months ago and forgot to post. So I'll post it now :) Better late than never! Scribbled down haphazardly by yours truly,. Thats why the question I always ask at the end of sermons at our church is, so what does that mean for our lives? Sadly the answers are often quite poor and not well thought out. November 19, 2011 at 4:46 PM. Youre right, your blog is neglected. Dunno...

Wednesday, December 8, 2010. As an example, I was standing in line at Tim Horton's last week, and there was a very tall person in front of me. Remarkably tall, in fact, probably close to 7 feet. Now normally, such information would be a simple observation. "Note: tall." And then move on. However, the inner monologue of sleep deprivation commented as follows, "Whoahhh, so tallllll! Which is a truer representation of myself? Scribbled down haphazardly by yours truly,. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Darkshadow...

Monday, January 31, 2011. Victory: The Bed Bug Saga. I have declared complete and total victory. Victory against anxiety, victory against fear, victory against sleepless nights, victory against insidious little blood-sucking parasites. yes I am talking about bed bugs. They feed exclusively on blood, and need regular blood meals to reach adulthood and reproduce. They come out typically around 2-4 am when their food source is in deepest sleep, and need 2-5 minutes for a complete feeding. Most professional ...

Saturday, November 14, 2009. Jumps up and down excitedly*. I have one FO! Yes, after so many weeks of no knitting pictures, I finally finished one of those suckers. Guess which one? Aha, trick question, I haven't yet blogged about it! The reinvention of my Calorimetry Headband into a freestyled cabled . um . thingamabob? Is going well. It's still a headband, just to clarify, but with cables that meander about in a mostly organized fashion. I love vacationing with my parents because:. 1 It's really cheap.
