Friday, December 12, 2008. Long Straight Hair - Glamorous? I caught myself unaware yesterday. I was at my uncle's house and my eldest niece S1 was around. She has jet black, thick wavy hair. And it is shoulder length. Last evening I noticed she had straightened it. I immediately said "You straightened your hair. It looks nice". Little did I realize. On the long drive back home I got to thinking how I have fallen into the trap of long straight hair being left open as the standard for glamorous hair!

Friday, June 7, 2013. Of Mars and Venus - toddler style. It was a defining moment - she was the girl! I was so proud of her and so amused too. Sigh, I love my boy but the next time around I do think I would like a girl. (tee hee). My wish on #1 above came true in the fall of 2012. Now that I have one of each I can't wait to observe and hopefully record some of these moments. In some way they also help me understand this world a little better!
