"Nothing is that predictable": Lost in the Desert - (again...)

Nothing is that predictable". Lost in the Desert - (again.). This post is not a catch-up or excuse for where I've been. I like blogger because I can flit from one blog to another and "follow" lots of bloggers that way. I am sort of fickle, and I get bored easily, so while if I find a blog I like, I'll scroll the beginning and read the entire thing like a book - I also lose interest and stop reading posts for a long time. My disclaimer is if I disagree with you, I'm going to ignore you completely. It's ap...

Nothing is that predictable". For no really firm reason I'm offline for the moment. Probably through the end of May. See you in June. View my complete profile. This girl's gotta fly: Andrea's second birthday. I swear, it's been so long that coming back here feels like a celebration, and what better way to celebrate a blog post than writing about a birthday! Honey, Bread, and Oil. Planning the Second Annual Chocolate Dinner. My Oh Maya - My Experiences in Taiwan. Inga is 6 years old! Here is yet another r...

"Nothing is that predictable": Things Parents Dread to Hear
http://yourswistfully.blogspot.com/2012/08/things-parents-dread-to-hear.html
Nothing is that predictable". Things Parents Dread to Hear. I used to say that the fastest precursor to an emergency room trip in our family was hearing. Today, I heard this:. Queak's getting his ears pierced, and it's free! Me "when, from whom? In the living room! One day my children will realize their mistake is telling me first - in the meantime I get to have the sunken heart by being their little rain cloud - even when they are ingenious little people.). Me "huh, ha ha, ummm, no.". January 18, 2013.

Nothing is that predictable". I think it's been years since I wrote an entry. Here anyway. We had only one day with nothing demanding attention from start to finish. However, I'd forgotten we'd had a doctor's appointment for Celia mid day. After that there was her passport appointment. The river they've come to associate with our family and their childhood. The last time we were at this spot, years ago, we interrupted a memorial ceremony where people were placing flowers next to the water. We decided...

Nothing is that predictable". Yeah - maybe I'm still hormonal but that made me a little tearful. Look, that flower is the same color as my shirt! I don't know why that kind of thing makes me stupid happy, but it does. I realize now, quite clearly that I can't remember it all. I try, I try so hard. I figure some times, when I'm laying in bed with the baby who is making eyes at me, and cooing softly that this is heaven. The little toothbrush hair on my newborn. And maybe that's why. Why I feel those li...

Nothing is that predictable". Random Post Number: Several. I crave fish and chips. I don't know how it happened but people seem to be psychically picking up on it because people keep referring to fish and chips in my presence. Almost as though they are teasing me. Am I thinking out-loud again? Then, just to shake myself up, so whichever country I'm in I don't go to sleep with tears in my ears, I like to remind myself why I left. Because there were times when I was genuinely worried about being heard in a...

Nothing is that predictable". In the interest of keeping this going and not falling back into blog/intermission/purgatory I'm doing Thoughts on Thursdays. I don't have many thoughts right now, so it will be either short or I'll have to pad it out with thoughts that aren't my own. This is Thursday right? If I think and therefore I am, if I don't think than what am I? I'm seriously thinking about doing a themed week like I talked about a while ago, thoughts on Thursdays, wordless Wednesdays, what else?

Nothing is that predictable". Random Post, Yet Another. This was a visit to the frog pond we go to, it was May of this year. It has a purpose - really it does -. Let us start with tadpoles. Tadpoles have a natural progression. The frog as he regards us - as we regard him. Trying to see how many types of things, including 4 types of tadpoles we can see. Another frog regards us. Studying one of many dragonflies. And now Leif and Celia peering in. Nothing is truly random without utter randomness incorporated.
