A M Winters (. Did it stop working? I have been on Celexa 40mg for four months. Almost immediately, my mood lifted, to the extent that I felt like I was floating in a cloud- I knew it wasn't real, but feeling overly content was a nice change from suicidal. Four months later, and I feel almost as bad as I did before I started taking it. No energy, sleeping 10-12 hours a day, having trouble functioning at work and socially. Will I be the next citalopram success story? I have been on 10mg of citalopram for 2 weeks now and I have had hardly any side effects. I would almost say none but I got some extreemly strong PMS during the 1st week so some of the PMS symptoms could have been mixed up with the citalopram side effects.
