The effect of the tumor micro environment of the efficacy of drugs. The 3DTEBM provides a unique system to test the tumor microenvironment of the efficacy of drugs, this includes the effect of the interaction of tumor cells with other cells in the microenvironment as well as the effect of oxygen gradients (hypoxia) on the efficacy of the drugs. We provide characterization of the efficacy of new drugs in classic 2D cultures and in the 3DTEBM in cell lines, and in primary patients cells in the 3DTEBM.
