Sharing my travels with those I love! February 1, 2013. Vanuatu and New Caledonia. Once again, we sail out of Sydney, this time without our girls! 😦 So where are the fireworks? The second half of this back-to-back cruise was called New Caledonia. I didn’t even research it. All I knew was we had never been there and I wanted the cruise to go on and on! As it turned out, we both preferred Vanuatu to New Caledonia. It reminded us of the Caribbean Islands and Vanuatu’s neighbor, Fiji. Sure beats high rises!

We both decided if we ever leave Hawaii. it would be San Diego as a second choice. Once aboard, we had 2 sea days before we got to our first Port, on Jan. 9, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This is considered the Boardwalk in P.V. even though there are no boards! Haven’t gone to Taco Bell since! You also get Happy Birthday sung to you in Indonesian!

Sharing my travels with those I love! April 3, 2013. Come Cruise with Emjay. Our flight on Hawaiian Air came in at 7:20 pm (only one flight a day) so it was lucky that the AMSTERDAM was docked overnight. My wonderful granddaughters met us at the airport (Nic was keeper of the hat between recent cruises) and whisked us off for late boarding. 1,167 more words. Laquo; Vanuatu and New Caledonia. February 16th, 2013. We fly on the 14th, Board on the 15th and SAIL on the 16th. I never know what day it is!

A bird's eye view of some of our travels. Monday, September 30, 2013. Yesterday was Steve's birthday and we had quite a celebration, even though the chef didn't really know that it was his birthday. We went to the Chef's Table dinner which was very extravagant, fun and filling. We started by putting on lab coats so that we could venture down to the galley. Then had to wash hands singing the birthday song- so we got everyone to sing it to Steve, much to his grumbling! Next came caviar on roasted new potato.
