Musings from Marianne: December 2014
http://musings-from-marianne.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 25, 2014. Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Merry Christmas" to my Christian friends and "Happy Holidays" to those who follow other religions or are nonbelievers! I like Christmas even though I am not religious - the lights, red and green and a few other colors thrown in, the food, the ritual. There are a few things I usually do, such as make Chex mix, put up the tree, and light up the Christmas village. My many Beanie babies come out of hiding, although their ranks are a. Musings from Marianne: April 2015
http://musings-from-marianne.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 19, 2015. Busy, sunny days. This morning was sunny, the perfect time for picture taking. Paul is finishing up work on a new book, so we went to the Green Mount Cemetery in Montpelier so I could take an author picture of him sitting on a bench by one of his subjects' graves. I took a few photos with my phone along with the new digital camera, but photos from the latter were much clearer. My Fitbit is smiling after this morning's exercise, so I guess that allows me to go sew! After lunch (Cae...

Musings from Marianne: November 2014
http://musings-from-marianne.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 26, 2014. I've been humming "I Love Paris" while cutting out the fabric for this quilt I'm making for Yvette's petitite cousine en Quebec province. She sent me fabric with sepia-toned postcards which I felt was too somber for a little girl. So I have added scraps of pink in various shades along with some other more colorful Parisian-themed fabrics. It's going to be bright! I'll show it to Polly for her opinion, too, tomorrow when she's here for Thanksgiving. Monday, November 24, 2014.

Musings from Marianne: March 2015
http://musings-from-marianne.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 25, 2015. What to do when the power goes off. So glad I can hand sew! I'm not sure why this happened since it rarely does. But I did see a fire engine roar by and, about an hour later, go back the way it came. Soon thereafter, the power came back on, and luckily, so did the furnace. It's only six months old, so we aren't sure how reliable it will be. Now we know! Still, all the clocks in the kitchen were blinking - stove, microwave, coffee maker. Ugh! Oh, PayPal, you are my downfall!

Musings from Marianne: January 2015
http://musings-from-marianne.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 29, 2015. I have made a concerted effort to get projects done this winter. With the frigid temperatures we've been having, I have no excuse for procrastinating. When I finish a quilt top, I usually hang it in the closet of my quilting room until. This "lattice" quilt is about 36" x 48", just right for the Parkinsons Comfort Quilt Project. This is not to imply that I don't have any UFOs - I have plenty! In April. I also have:. A Pat Sloan block of the month in orange. I belong to an onli...

Musings from Marianne: August 2015
http://musings-from-marianne.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 19, 2015. We are having the hottest days of the summer, and our window sills are being repaired and painted. I feel very sorry for the guy doing it. My sewing room air conditioner had to come out of the window for a few days, so I feel sorry for myself, too. No sewing for me, so I started knitting a pair of socks because I didn't want to move much. I'm trying a new method, using two short sets of round needles. I got the pattern out of a Debbie Macomber book called A Good Yarn. Central ...

Musings from Marianne: Quiet morning
http://musings-from-marianne.blogspot.com/2015/07/quiet-morning.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. Today I'm going to get back to working on items to sell at the Rustic Moose holiday sale. I have finished five reversible holiday table runners (Christmas/patriotic colors) and three Christmas stockings. More stockings and, perhaps, a few potholders are on tap today. Musings from Marianne: Heritage Days
http://musings-from-marianne.blogspot.com/2015/07/heritage-days.html
Saturday, July 25, 2015. Karen - Quilts.etc. I remember the Bobbsey Twins! Recently - my daughter Melanie found an old Nancy Drew book at a used book store in town - she open the front to take a look and there was her name and her sisters on the inside cover! She is 42 now and her sister is 39 - weird how what goes around comes around isnt it - she was just so excited to see an old book of hers come back to her. July 25, 2015 at 8:17 PM. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. I took photos of the four Christmas stockings and five table runners I made over the last few days for the holiday craft fair. I'm sure you don't want to see them all, but here are a few photos. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Oceans of Scraps, 2015. Retired librarian, avid quilter. View my complete profile.
