Out of the Blue: In the immortal words of John Mayer
http://gladsurrender.blogspot.com/2010/01/in-immortal-words-of-john-mayer.html
Saturday, January 02, 2010. In the immortal words of John Mayer. I am driving up 85. . . Heres a picture from the journey. Perhaps the intergalactic transportation belonging to the protagonists of the next Shyamalan story? Nah, but kind of a cool shot anyway. Why Georgia Why plays in my head every time were on I-85. Tonight these lyrics caught my attention:. . .still Everything happens for a reason is no reason not to ask myself. If youre living it right. Are you living it right? Are you living it right?

Out of the Blue: All swell, Thatin's well...
http://gladsurrender.blogspot.com/2005/04/all-swell-thatins-well.html
Wednesday, April 06, 2005. All swell, Thatin's well. I know that's not how it's supposed to be written (Mom and Ginger), but I thought it would be fun to change it up a bit! But it would be kind of cool to know someone named Thatin, and to see a well swell. You'd definitely need to have that kind of thing checked out by a professional, though. That seems like crazy talk to me. Could it be that long? Yep, it could and it has. Here's the part where I gush a little (maybe the well is swelling). I could have...

Out of the Blue: More than a quote from a movie
http://gladsurrender.blogspot.com/2005/03/more-than-quote-from-movie.html
Wednesday, March 09, 2005. More than a quote from a movie. Inspired by old friends (and each of you know who you are), I write these thoughts. I am vividly aware today that the former name of this blog, "Tomorrow's Always Fresh", is more than just a snippet of dialogue from my favorite movie (which, by the way, is. Anne of Green Gables. In case you haven't been around me for more than about two and a half minutes! Could the day after today be cleaner? Do you know the mess I made today? I want that percep...

Out of the Blue: ...but I'm Yours
http://gladsurrender.blogspot.com/2009/12/but-im-yours.html
Monday, December 14, 2009. Hi, all. Three months since an update via the blogosphere. Ava is here, is lovely, is wonderful. Everyone is adjusting well including me, thanks to God and modern medicine, a night and day difference from postpartum life after Jack. Life is good. Isnt it like a sledgehammer busting a rock? We can rely on the Word of God and the three persons of the Trinity. Let he without sin cast the first stone, if you will,. To say that My bride isnt worth half the blood that Ive spilled.

Out of the Blue: Title: Knowing How to Know My "No" Means No
http://gladsurrender.blogspot.com/2005/03/title-knowing-how-to-know-my-no-means.html
Thursday, March 24, 2005. Title: Knowing How to Know My "No" Means No. Subtitle: My Journey to Finding Clark Kent. I am giggling to myself because those two words sum up how I have been feeling for the last couple of days. I am actually going to deposit them into my bank-of-silly-things-to-say-or-do-when-I-am-on-the-brink-of-melting-down-and-need-to-mellow-out (I hope they already have the name of that bank listed on the deposit slip.that's a doozie! Right now, I suppose. Where, oh where, is Clark Kent?

I'll visit you often. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Keeping up with my peeps . . . The winds of change. Starr like in the sky.

Out of the Blue: A Useful Foolish Thing
http://gladsurrender.blogspot.com/2009/08/useful-foolish-thing.html
Saturday, August 15, 2009. A Useful Foolish Thing. So, I have this thing, this Thing about myself. Its a Thing I hate, and I mean indignantly. Its such a major Thing in my life that it gets to have it's very own capital T, making it a proper noun even though it is the pinnacle definition of an impropriety. Did I say already how much I hate this? Standing too close to a person in conversation, wondering if I can wear my hair up on a particular day without it being glaringly obvious; the Thing is never far...

Out of the Blue: Gardening for a Dummy
http://gladsurrender.blogspot.com/2007/11/gardening-for-dummy.html
Thursday, November 29, 2007. Gardening for a Dummy. A farmer went out to sow his seed. Some of it fell on the road; it was tramped down and the birds ate it. Other seed fell in the gravel; it sprouted, but withered because it didn't have good roots. Other seed fell in the weeds; the weeds grew with it and strangled it. Other seed fell in rich earth and produced a bumper crop. . . But You do . . . Let You in. How do I uproot the weeds? So I will say, "Awake, north wind! Rise up, south wind! I gather myrh ...

Out of the Blue: Counting up my currency
http://gladsurrender.blogspot.com/2007/12/counting-up-my-currency.html
Thursday, December 06, 2007. Counting up my currency. So, I can now say I have experienced postpartum depression/anxiety. It's why I changed the header of the blog to "Out of the Blue"; it's the way it hit me,. Here goes. . . I can sleep in peace. I take care of Jack everyday at home by myself. I know its not a "faith issue". I get up every morning, have breakfast and silly conversation, and dress Isabella for school. I hosted a Thanksgiving party in our home. I can operate a vehicle. Hey, welcome back&#...
