Arguably the most spectacular part of the Ceredigion Coast Path this section is Heritage Coast and includes the iconic Ynys Lochtyn the outline of which is used on our Coast Path logo. Llangrannog to Cwm Tydu. Distance 9.4km (5.9 miles), grade - moderate. Map 1; north of Llangrannog. Map 2; south of New Quay. Cwm Tydu to New Quay. Distance 5.6km (3.5 miles), grade - moderate. Section 2 - Aberporth to Llangrannog.

New Quay - Cwmtydu. Section 7 - total distance 15.7km (9.8 miles). This is a section of two distinct halves with Aberystwyth to Borth being a challenging yet popular section of Heritage Coast while the section between Borth and Ynys-las is completely flat, with much of it running along the edge of Cors Fochno - Borth Bog. Distance 2.7km (1.7 miles), grade - moderate. This short section of the coast path passes over Constitution Hill. Map 1; north of Aberystwyth. Map 2; south of Ynys-las.

For the short (0.8 km / 0.5 miles) section between Taliesin and Tre'r-ddol the route then follows the road. Map 1; Dyfi west. Tre'r-ddol to Artists Valley (Furnace).
