In 2006, Madison Area Technical College and the CERET consortium pioneered one of the nation’s first academic certificates in renewable energy technology. The innovative credential set a new precedent for learning that featured incorporation of online, hybrid, and intensive hands-on short courses. As of 2014, Madison College now offers four distinct academic certificates in renewable energy.
