Friday, October 10, 2014. Twins Born Naturally in the Hospital. My Perfect Natural Twin Birth. I have no doubt that I have experienced the most miraculous and perfect thing that I ever will in my entire life! My twin's birth was amazing on so many levels and I want to share my story :). I chose to use the Hypnobabies method to be able to birth my twins naturally. I didn't always want a natural birth, ESPECIALLY once I found out I would have to push two babies out. I was like,. I finished the classes and ...

Connecticut Maternity Care Worst to First 2010: Two Hospitals
http://ctworsttofirst.blogspot.com/2009/09/two-hospitals.html
Thursday, September 24, 2009. We have successfully obtained statistics from two hospitals here in Connecticut so far. One being Stamford Hospital, and the other is Griffin Hospital in Derby. I don't like the numbers from either, but I do give Griffin props for their VBAC rate. Cesarean Section - 39.04%. Episiotomy - 20.50%. VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean) - 1.62%. Cesarean Section - 43.35%. Episiotomy - 24.88%. VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean) - 1.74%. Griffin Hospital (Derby, CT).

Connecticut Maternity Care Worst to First 2010: Episiotomy Statistics!
http://ctworsttofirst.blogspot.com/2009/09/episiotomy-statistics.html
Saturday, September 26, 2009. After much patience with the department of health care access in Connecticut we obtained some of the statistics we have been looking for. While we do not have the percentages at this point in time because we still have some pieces of missing information, we do have the number of cesarean sections, episiotomies, and forcep/vaccum/breech deliveries (which is apparently counted as one statistic and number in CT's recordings). Today I am posting the Episiotomy rates. Connecticut...

birth babies breasts oh my: The Birth Story of Baby Eden
http://birthbabiesbreastsohmy.blogspot.com/2014/05/the-birth-story-of-baby-eden.html
Monday, May 26, 2014. The Birth Story of Baby Eden. Baby was "due" May 11th, 2014, Mother's Day. One week later it was Sunday the 18th and I was still pregnant. I went to church and taught my last Temple prep class for the series. This baby must have known I needed to finish the class. I knew that if I went past 11:14pm that night it would be my longest pregnancy. I was emotional at church. I heard lots of advice on how to go into labor. I took it all in stride. I was not really worried. Went back to bed.

birth babies breasts oh my: January 2014
http://birthbabiesbreastsohmy.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 9, 2014. Friday, September 13, 2013. I woke up around 5:45am after having a good night's sleep. I went to birth group the night before and I had one of the ladies give me a few tips for going into labor. She said she expressed some milk and did some hip rotations on an exercise ball. I thought my exercise ball might still be out in the garage, but since I was the only one awake I thought I would try expressing milk first. So I sat on the couch trying to express some colostrum. I sat up ...

It is really simple too! 3 cups diced apples. 1 tsp baking soda. 1 cup chopped nuts/or raisins (like my husband likes). Combine all liquid ingredients. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the mixture. Enter your comment here.

Connecticut Maternity Care Worst to First 2010: Connecticut Hospital Cesarean Section Numbers for 2007
http://ctworsttofirst.blogspot.com/2009/09/connecticut-hospital-cesarean-section.html
Monday, September 28, 2009. Connecticut Hospital Cesarean Section Numbers for 2007. Over the weekend we really worked hard on locating some numbers we needed in order to come up with percentages that are much easier to understand over the number of cesarean sections taking place at hospitals across the state. Some of these numbers are staggering. The hospitals with the exceptionally high rates, I have highlighted in Red. Over the national average of 31.8%). Hospital Name Cesarean % Total # of Births.
