It’s fall in the Greater Cincinnati area and the stupid walnuts are falling too. Jamie and I had run about 3 houses toward that curve when I suddenly felt my right ankle step on something, it turned and I was on the ground. Then I felt the pain! I grabbed my right ankle yelling something along the line of “I broke it! I rang the doorbell, Michael opened it with Kri...

Don’t get me wrong, they have great physical and athletic endurance. It the movie. Spirit of the Marathon. There is a quote that marathon training is basically training for life. You’re going to have bad spots in the marathon and in life. The outcome depends on how you handle those bad spots. That’s endu...

Luke William Larson: July 2011
http://lukelarson.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 24, 2011. On May 22nd, Mommy, Daddy, Brynn and I made our annual trip to the Toledo Zoo! Always so much fun to see all of the animals. We started at the aquarium. Made our way to the playground. Played a little dress-up. Took a little break on a mushroom. Watched the worker ants carry leaves from one end of the building to another. Sat in a beehive! And finally, we ate lunch and then played in the stream at Nature's Neighborhood. My favorite! I got up close and personal with some sea lions.

Sunday, March 6, 2011. Brynn Elyse turns ONE! When we last left you it was just before Valentines Day. Mommy and Daddy helped us make some delicious sugar cookies. On the 15th, Brynn went to get her first birthday pictures taken. Here are a few from her photo session. She also loved opening her birthday cards that came in the mail. Here's the birthday girl. We had a birthday dinner and then celebrated with cupcakes. Then it was time to sing Happy Birthday and dig into that ladybug cake. Time for a bath!

Monday, March 18, 2013. Hello friends and family! Winter is still holding on but we are looking forward to spring. We have been doing some fun indoor activities like bowling. Once a week on Saturday mornings, I get to go spend some time with other autistic kids and do some acting. Emily and Kayla making Minnie Mouse shaped sandwiches for the kids. Saturday, June 1, 2013. Easter and Great Strides 2013. Hello friends and family! Lots to say since my last post so let's get to it! March 31st was Easter. Here we are prepping for the big bunny by dying our eggs the day before. We also went to Pecks Garden Center looking for some pots for some new plants when we ran into an Easter egg hunt. They had eggs all around the store and animals in the garden center. Brynn loved the chicks and I had a chat with the Easter bunny. When I got home, I played Will Kim...

Yes… I’m staring… at your feeding pump! February 25, 2008. It was near the end of last summer when I took my girls to see a live Signing Time. Show at a local school theater. Having been long time fans of Rachel. And the amazing work she does for the hearing impaired, I made sure we got there early and got a front row seat… I was there with a friend and her two little girls as well. Although Rachel was a bit under the weather, the show was fantastic and the kids had a blast! No, I keep staring until that...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. April 17, 2008. Cystic Fibrosis and Gene Therapy. I mention this as I also have many “normal” students who are not having to overcome various challenges like these, some of whom don’t pass or have low grades due to an inability to have a decent work ethic, or who are really just not great academically. My opinion is that if my kids with challenges can achieve, then the lazy goofballs should be able to also. Anyway, I digress. Cystic Fibrosis: A Single Gene Issue. But fi...

Tuesday, May 10, 2011. We'll start off with my appointment at U of M. I weighed in at 35lbs 9oz and 40.25 inches long. Dr. Arteta thought I looked good and no changes were made at this time. We did tell him we are moving to Iowa and he said we should start making our transition to Univ of Iowa soon. On Friday, April 22nd, Mommy drove Brynn and I to Iowa. I must say we did an awesome job traveling. Lots of rain but no real issues. I got to go pick a prize. I came back with a big red ball. We went outside ...
