Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Just attended my second family wedding of the year and I have to say, my family knows how to do this ritual right. Having said that, I was sitting in the beautiful San Antonio Botanical Gardens, trying not to cry (I always cry at weddings, but at family weddings, it's a torrent). By Candy Schermerhorn, ISBN 0-937381-38-1.(1). Rustic Strata with beer, spinach and cheese. 1 loaf soft soft Italian or French bread (preferably pre-sliced into approximately 1/4 inch slices). 1-1/2 sticks butter, softened (3/4 cup, or 12 tablespoons). 2 small bunches fresh spinach, or 1 large bunch, stemmed and chopped fine.
