Wednesday, 11 January 2017. I see me dressed to the nines, veiled in tulle and glory. I smile hesitantly unbelieving what awaits me. Suddenly it's a blur. A scar on my face and across my body. Forces me to remain horizontal. I ask for medicine for remedy. And instead all I see. Are towering piles of baby food boxes. Stacked against the wall. He stumbles across my blog and is impressed with my humor, wit and sarcasm that reflects in my writing. He likes the photographs on my Instagram account, finds them pretty and quirky, and is curious to know more about the person who took them. He and I happen to pick the last available copy of Mario Puzo's ' The Godfather. He's a dog lover, sees me walking Scotch and we strike up a conversation.

Because at the period in your life when you think about bringing a four legged creature into your life, you pretty much are a teenager or a child yourself; not that being an underage parent is new or unheard of in most parts of the developed, developing and underdeveloped world. Daily walks continue, quarterly bathing rituals are managed and food habits are supposedly. Instead, they leave you in a state of purgatory.
